THOMAS F. CLEARY
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPRAISER
Thomas F. Cleary
CT Certified Appraiser No. RCR.731
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Since 1987, after completing my formal education, I have worked in real estate related employment. In 1987 I was employed as a salesman with Fiano Realty of Bolton, Connecticut, where I marketed existing homes and building lots within subdivisions in the town of Bolton, Coventry, Hebron and Manchester, Connecticut. My other duties included coordinating contractors involved in the construction of residential homes. My experience in residential construction has brought me invaluable knowledge into the costs, materials and techniques associated in new construction.
In 1989 I became a State of Connecticut licensed appraiser. During this period I provided residential appraisals for local contractors, probate court and the private sector.
In 1992 I joined Accurate Appraisal Company, of East Hartford as a staff appraiser. In this position I inspected, researched and valued properties including single-family residences, 2-4 family homes, mobile homes, individual condominium units and vacant land.
In 1995, I accepted a position as a staff appraiser with O’Malley, O’Rourke & Bezz Appraisal Associates, Inc. in Glastonbury, Connecticut. My duties are similar to those at Accurate Appraisal and now include appraisals of properties under construction with inspections to authorize incremental releases of construction mortgage funds while verifying compliance with plans and specifications. In addition, I also have provided appraisals to be used in foreclosure proceedings within the Connecticut Superior Court System.
