PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
I have been employed as a Real Estate Appraiser since 1972.
2000-Present – I merged by business with the established firm of O’Malley, O’Rourke & Bezz, Appraisal Associates. I remain a certified General Appraiser and appraise both residential and income properties. I appraise both existing and proposed properties for financing, foreclosures, tax appeals and for litigation. I am an approved FHA/HUD and VA appraiser on the Lender Selection Roster. I routinely testify in Connecticut Superior Court.
1998-2000 – President, Charter Appraisal Realty Services, LLC in East Hartford, CT.
I acquired the assets of Charter Appraisal Company, Inc. to form Charter Appraisal Realty Services, LLC. In addition to my appraiser duties, I also managed the company. I am an approved FHA/HUD appraiser on the Lender Selection Roster. I was also an expert witness in Connecticut Superior Courts.
1982-1998 – Appraiser/VP, Charter Appraisal Company, Inc. in East Hartford, CT.
Duties included preparation of appraisals of residential and income properties, plus land, evaluation of proposed and existing tract developments, appraisal of properties for foreclosure purposes, evaluation of proposed and existing condominium projects and tax appeals. I am qualified as an expert witness in the Connecticut Superior Courts. I was Vice President, Secretary and Director for Charter Appraisal Company, Inc.
1975-1982 – Appraisal Officer/Appraiser, Society For Savings in Hartford, CT.
Duties included preparation of appraisals of residential and income properties, evaluation of proposed and existing tract developments, inspection of structures under construction for loan payment disbursement, and appraisal of property for foreclosure purposes and mortgage servicing. In 1978, I was promoted to Appraisal Officer. With this title, I was a supervisor to the appraisal staff. In addition to supervising, my duties included valuation of condominium projects, and advising management regarding residential mortgages and underwriting.
1972-1975 – Appraiser, State of Connecticut Department of Transportation in Wethersfield, CT.
Duties included preparation of property appraisals, review and critique appraisals based upon State and Federal requirements, collection and analysis of market data, liaison with fee appraisers and engineers, and appearances as an expert witness in Superior Court hearings in Hartford and New Haven.
